Badami Shahi Tukray

Badami Shahi Tukray is one of the famous joys of South Asian food and it’s known as a royal dessert. It can be observed as a continental variety of bread desserts. Ingredients

  10 bread slices

150 gm sugar

1 packet of fresh cream

1-1/2 milk

1/2 cup ricotta cheese khoya

1 tbsp. hot milk

1 tbsp. almond

1 tbsp. kewra water

1/2 tbsp. saffron

1 tbsp. pistachios sliced

 

Direction

1.     Preheat oven to 180 degrees c.

 

  1. Cut bread into four pieces.

 

  1. Heat ghee in a deep pan.

 

  1. Fry bread slices for about 2-3 minutes.

 

  1. Remove from the boil oil and arrange in a tray.

 

  1. Dissolve sugar and saffron in 1 cup of milk.

 

  1. Transfer this mixture over the fried bread. In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1 cup of milk with cream and khoya.

 

  1. Pour over the sodden bread and leave it for about 10 minutes.

 

  1. Sprinkle it with kewra water, pistachios, and cut almonds over it. Bake for 15 minutes or until well done.

 

  1. Badami Shahi Tukray are ready to serve.
